I spent my evening at a Harmonic Convergence party in an old mansion in Rockville, Maryland, on August 16, 1987. We chanted mantras in harmony with other hippies from all over the globe; from portal sites on Mount Shasta, Maui, Sedona, and other energy centers, well into the wee hours of the morning. We chanted to bring peace to the rare seven planet, fire sign, alignment that formed a Grand Trine: The Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars conjunct in Leo in an aspect to Jupiter in Aries with Saturn and Uranus in Sagittarius; that happens once every ten thousand years. It was a peaceful prophetic night to remember, which brings me to the upcoming transit of Jupiter into Aries; just where it had been on that fateful Harmonic Convergence, decades before.
Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, abundance, knowledge, law, and gratitude, takes 12 years to circle the sun. Jupiter spends about 12 months in each zodiac sign. Jupiter in Aries brings action and not always in a positive way. Mars, ruler of Aries, is the planet of action and war. Both World Wars, Arab Spring, and the mass shootings at Columbine High School happened while Jupiter transited Aries.
Jupiter dipped into Aries earlier this year May 10, through October 28, 2022. Here we experienced protests and civil unrest in Iran, September 16th, in reaction to the murder of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini. North Korea deployed a series of tactical nuclear weapons tests between September 25th and October 9th. China made news launching missiles over Taiwan August 4th and 7th.
With war in Ukraine, escalating tensions with China and North Korea, demonstrations in Iran, and our own home-grown American terrorists of election deniers and rising hate groups; we step into December 20th on tiptoes, holding our breath. Time, once again, to chant mantras for peace.
What does Jupiter’s move into Aries mean for each sign? That is best answered with a detailed analysis of your own chart. But, in general, the fire signs will be most affected: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius.
Aries will feel like their lives are taking off, but don't worry. You're unstoppable. Leo will embark on new travel adventures. New experiences and new people will guide your path. Sagittarius will find new and exciting ways to express yourselves. This will bring growth in your creative endeavors.
Even Pisces will feel a weight has been lifted as the largest planet leaves Pisces to find new comfort at home and work while Jupiter is in Aries.
As for the rest of the zodiac signs:
Taurus—learn to surrender and stop going against the grain. You’ll have to learn to trust the universe. Stop trying to control everything. It won’t work.
Gemini—your social life will take off. Become the leader of the pack. Combine your social superpowers with others in collaboration to make the best use of Jupiter in Aries.
Cancer—all those things that you been forming over the past 10 years are coming to a pinnacle. Prepare for the best business year yet. Your expertise and hard work bring a very abundant year!
Virgo—permanent deals like marriage, divorce, pregnancies, investments, and business abound. You could get a very large bonus or a very large, unexpected bill.
Libra—relationship role reversal. You might renew an old relationship or part ways with a current one.
Scorpio—you’ve enjoyed the last year with Aries in Pisces. Now it is time to change your hedonistic ways. A pound of prevention will be key to your health.
Capricorn—last year was very yang, and this year will be very yin. Travel will give way to planting roots and getting to know the family better.
Aquarius—your image is everything especially in business. This all expands as you market yourself to new audiences. Use the media to your advantage. Podcast anyone?
